Registration has opened for Google I/O 2016, the most anticipated Google developer event of the year. It’s set to take place on May 18 to May 20 at the Shoreline Amphiteatre in Mountain View, California, and demand for tickets — as always — will be very high.
Anyone interested in attending should visit the I/O website here, where the option to register interest is provided. Don’t expect to buy a ticket though, as getting one is a lottery. You sign up, and hope for the best that you’re chosen.
Google I/O 2016 registrations are now open
Attendance is desirable for many reasons. The event holds many developer workshops, many based around cutting edge new technology, and the chance to speak with Google engineers directly. That’s before the excitement of the main keynote presentation, where it’s traditional for a new version of Android to be fully unveiled.
Be quick though, as registration closes on March 10 at 5pm PST. If you don’t make it, or don’t get one of the rare tickets, then many of the workshops are live streamed, or made available online at a later date.
