Orange challenges developers to make the best apps possible using its APIs, offers 10,000 euro prize

Mobile network Orange has launched a competition open to Kenyan developers and startups, where the challenge is come with a project that makes the best use of its own APIs. These include APIs related to SMS, operator billing, and USSD communication technology.

Orange and a select team of judges will choose the ten best entries to put into development, out of which three winners will be chosen, each of whom will receive a cash prize and an Orange Klif phone.

For the overall winner, the competition will continue, and the app will take part in a grand competition against 12 other countries, where the prize is 10,000 euros.
