Facebook appears to be edging closer to launch its Stories Ads soon. For the first time, the company has now invited Facebook Marketing Partners to help build integrations for Stories Ads. It is set to launch the format shortly.
Matt Navarra, a social media marketing consultant, shared a screenshot of a Facebook notification that aims to engage Marketing Partners to get involved in Stories Ads.
The format has been in testing since May in the US, Brazil and Mexico, but only a handful of advertisers have been given access.
It remains questionable if the format can monetise at the same rate as others. Facebook Stories are currently viewed by 150 million people whilst Instagram Stories attract 400 million users now.
If Stories can attract a significant chunk of ad revenue, Facebook would be likely to shift some of its focus there.
Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, added the company was hopeful, but did not yet have clear results from testing.
