Cryptocurrency portfolio management app Blockfolio has closed an $11.5 million Series A funding round. It was led by Pantera Capital and includes a group of premier investors such as Bitmex and Huobi, two of the world’s largest exchanges.

Investment funds Danhua VC, DCM Ventures, Pathfinder, Abstract Ventures, Refactor Capital, Mayfield Fund, Chapter One Ventures, NKB Group, Global Blockchain Innovative Capital, Block72 and Nirvana Capital also participated.

Blockfolio began in 2014 as the first major crypto portfolio tracking app to deliver price information on thousands of virtual currencies across hundreds of exchanges. The company has since expanded on its vision with the launch of ‘Blockfolio Signal’, a broadcast channel that connects token teams directly with millions of crypto enthusiasts and potential investors.

Edward Moncada, CEO at Blockfolio, said:

“Our Series A financing will help us leverage our unparalleled reach to continue innovating as a global leader in the space. Most importantly, this investment empowers us to follow our belief that quality data and information should be easily accessible and that Blockfolio should be fully free to use for all.”

Moncada also announced that Paul Veradittakit of Pantera Capital will be joining the Blockfolio board of directors, describing him as “the perfect fit”.
