Movers & Shakers: MobAir expands China presence with Richard O’Connell as GM; Kargo adds Ed Carey as Executive VP of US Sales

MobAir expands China presence and announces Richard O’Connell as General Manager
Mobile growth platform for premium brands, MobAir, recently announced the launch of a new Shanghai office. The company has already been working with Chinese advertisers and publishers since 2015. By adding a local presence in Shanghai, it hopes to offer a more personalised service for its local ad partners and boost connections.
Richard O’Connell will be heading the MobAir operations in China as General Manager. He joins MobAir from PapayaMobile, where he previously built and managed an in-house media buying team as VP of Marketing.

Barak Aviad, CEO of MobAir, explains:

“China’s app economy is accelerating in growth, putting it within striking distance of Japan and the United States. Gaming apps are the biggest market winners in terms of revenue. Kargo adds Ed Carey as Executive VP of US Sales
Kargo, the mobile brand advertiser, has appointed Ed Carey as Executive Vice President, US Sales. Carey joins Kargo’s New York sales team and will managing new and existing relationships for the company.

Having previously served as Global VP, Advertising Market Development at Dun & Bradstreet, he has the experience necessary to drive business growth. Adam Chandler, Kargo’s Chief Business Officer, whom Carey will report to, says:
