Marketing technology provider, Tapad, just announced the opening of a new office in Oslo, Norway. The move is in line with the firm’s expansion plans and follows the acquisition of Telenor Group in early 2016.
Tapad Oslo’s engineering team is being led by Jeff Olchovy, the company’s senior developer. Over 20 positions are now up for grabs such as Head of Engineering, Senior Software Engineers and Solution Engineers.
Additional plans for the company are being announced during Q1 2017.
Dag Liodden, CTO and Co-founder, Tapad, is confident about the move:
“Given the caliber of technical talent and our extensive network in the region, Oslo was the logical choice at this stage of our growth. This enables us to continue building out our innovative team on a global scale in a region that is close to our hearts and minds.”
By establishing a presence in Norway, Tapad now has 15 offices across six countries and over 200 employees.
Oslo-based engineering teams will be in contact with the New York-based Tapad developers to expand the company’s product portfolio such as its Tapad Device Graph.
In addition, the company announced five Norwegian start-ups which would get an opportunity to share the firm’s New York workspace and receive guidance on establishing a US presence through the Propeller Program.
Pål Høye, Senior VP of engineering, Tapad, adds:
“As the head of our platform group, which daily processes several petabytes of data and is the foundation for all of our real-time systems, Jeff is a highly respected engineer. Given his experience and skillset, he is ideally suited to find and lead an innovative team focused on building the industry-leading products we are known for.”
