Instagram is pulling yet more features from Snapchat, but this time it has made them even better. In a move to boost usage of its Direct feature, Instagram Direct lets users send photo and users decide if recipients can view it once, temporarily or permanently.
Prior to the new addition, all posts were replayable temporarily on Direct.
Meanwhile, Snapchat is well known for only offering temporary replays, but the option cannot be switched on the app.
For Instagram, the latest addition may boost sharing of more sensitive photos since users won’t have to worry about these photos being online permanently.
The updates have been designed to offer users additional control. Interestingly, senders are also able to see if a recipient replayed their message.
