CloudMine, a mBaaS platform specializing in healthcare, has partnered with mobile app development platform Xamarin to release the CloudMine Connected Health SDK. It integrates CloudMine’s backend services and API into native apps built on Xamarin’s app platform, with the intention of helping developers assemble apps faster than before, and with more versatility.

Joseph Hill, Xamarin’s co-founder, said:

“Using CloudMine’s Connected Health SDK, Xamarin developers will be able to tap into an ever-growing world of connected health data. Now, our community can more easily build high quality healthcare apps, combining our strength in native cross-platform development with CloudMine’s strengths in handling sensitive patient and medical information.”

The Xamarin platform enables apps to be speedily built for iOS, Android, and Windows systems, taking advantage of shared code. CloudMine’s SDK provides access to a variety of services, from wearable APIs, EHR data, and CodeRunner, to its own business logic engine, and Apple’s HealthKit. The backend platform from CloudMine is also HIPAA-compliant, with a strong focus on security.

Marc Weil, CloudMine’s founder and CTO, added:

“This is critical, because common complexities such as interoperability, patient privacy, and data security have created massive barriers to deploying much needed solutions, forcing the need for expensive external resources, and delays in innovation delivery.”

The CloudMini Connected Health SDK can be downloaded from the Xamarin Component Store now. You can also learn more about the Xamarin platform by visiting its company profile here.
