Cheetah Mobile partners with Yahoo Gemini and sees strong results

Cheetah Mobile, the Chinese Internet and mobile Internet security company, recently announced that it was leveraging Gemini, Yahoo’s mobile search and native ad platform, to improve the user experience across its apps. Affecting its apps Clean Master, CM Security, CM Browser and CM Locker, Cheetah Mobile noted a 30% daily increase in Yahoo-generated revenue in CM Security during the first two weeks of integration. 
As part of the deal, Cheetah Mobile launched Yahoo “Search in Apps”, offering smoother search and content discovery on mobile. Mobile users now also get to enjoy Yahoo’s Search Buzz tool within Cheetah Mobile’s flagship apps.

Additional product integrations include Clean Master’s iSwipe feature to bring up Yahoo Search in hot corners on Android devices.
Following the integration with Yahoo Search, 60% of the CM Browser app’s revenue is now driven by Yahoo’s Search in Apps. CM Browser and CM Security apps saw a jump in user engagement in-app with retention rates in CM Launcher up 18.5%.

Cheetah Mobile will also be rolling out Yahoo Gemini across its entire suite of apps over the coming weeks. Gemini drives a smart, data-focussed and scalable approach to help advertisers create user-friendly and creative campaigns.
