Branding Brand acquires in-app content platform provider Waysay

Branding Brand, the mobile commerce and engagement platform for retail apps, has just acquired in-app content creator Waysay. It is Branding Brand’s first major acquisition. The company says the move will expand its omni-channel offerings to include in-app messaging, customer engagement tools and marketing automation technology that enables retailers to connect and support their customers.

The Waysay team joins Branding Brands product team under Jeff Middlesworth, who pioneered the Salesforce Marketing Cloud before Branding Brand.

As part of the deal, Branding Brand will open a third office in Indianapolis. Other expansion plans this year include London and growing the company’s European client base.
Waysay was founded in 2015 by ExactTarget and Salesforce veterans Matt Compton and Bob Ullery. Investors include TPC Investments, LLC, ExactTarget Co-Founder Peter Cormick and ex-Salesforce Executive VP Todd Richardson.
