Branch, the mobile marketing and deep linking platform, recently acquired TUNE‘s mobile attribution analytics business. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Branch has been a Facebook measurement partner since 2013. The company establishes deep links between apps and websites to allow marketers insights into how many app installations their ads are driving on social platforms. Its clients include Pinterest, Reddit and Amazon Music, among others.

However, its measurement options have not been deemed extensive enough. And that’s where TUNE comes in. By acquiring TUNE’s mobile attribution analytics business, Branch will be able to offer better insights into ad performance and make it easier for app developers to measure their marketing performance.

“TUNE has always been a steward of Branch’s core values, especially when it comes to putting user experience and privacy first,” said Alex Austin, CEO of Branch. “Combining TUNE’s years of learning with Branch’s innovation, raw product execution, and key strategic partnerships is the beginning of a new era of mobile marketing. It’s going to be an incredible ride.”

TUNE used to be a Facebook mobile measurement partner, but it was removed for storing data for too long.
