Android virtualization company BlueStacks has announced BlueStacks TV, an easy way for mobile gamers to stream gameplay to Twitch, without developers needing to add new software to their apps. BlueStacks says it’s the largest company yet to integrate Twitch’s API.
BlueStacks TV lets mobile gamers stream to Twitch, with no SDK needed for apps
Rosen Sharma, BlueStacks CEO, said:
“BlueStacks has mobile equivalents of the most popular games on the Twitch platform, midcore RPG titles especially. It used to be hard to stream a mobile game. It involved multiple devices: a tablet, a webcam and wires. We’ve cut all of that out. From a PC it’s easy to stream. It’s why Twitch has become so popular so fast.”
Mobile developers and publishers gain access to a new distribution channel, with the absolute minimum of fuss, and without any additional SDKs. For mobile game players, streaming games to Twitch happens at the push of a button, and doesn’t require any new or extra hardware.
