AppOnBoard, the mobile app demo technology and analytics platform, recently launched App Store Demos which allows app users and gamers to test apps and games directly from within the Google Play Store without having to download them.

“The revolutionary ‘Try Now’ button on Google Play transforms app discovery by removing the friction of installation,” explained Jonathan Zweig, CEO of AppOnboard.  “Our shared vision is that every app in the world would be demoed before downloaded.  Initial results and adoption for App Store Demos have been tremendous and provide developers with much needed new tools to innovate app discovery, increase pre-registrations, optimize apps and games, and improve retention and monetization of users.”

The new feature also means that app developers will no longer have to create smaller versions of their apps for Google Play Instant. Instead, App Store Demos can be used to boost pre-release engagement and pre-registration for upcoming launches.

“At AppOnboard, we’ve spent the last two years building a technology platform to create, display, and optimize the highest quality app demos.  We couldn’t be more excited to now bring these to the Google Play store through our support for Google Play Instant and collaborations with top grossing mobile developers” added Bryan Buskas, COO AppOnboard.  “For a limited time, we’re also offering an initial 30-day free trial of App Store Demos to any new app developer looking to build and launch a Google Play Instant app on Google Play.”

The technology includes AppOnBoard’s demo engine, creative and user behaviour analytics as well as the company’s heat map tech that measures touch feedback from users.
