Appery.io, the platform for rapid development of cross-device applications, is now 250,000 developers strong. For the company, the figures are proof that developers and enterprises are finding cloud-based, low-code, end-to-end platforms with enterprise-grade backend serve valuable.
Appery.io provides a cross-device app development platform
Fima Katz, CEO, Appery, says:
“We are equally excited to announce the newest features from Appery.io, which solidify our commitment to advancing and simplifying mobile app development. We’re confident that our technology will continue to increase developer productivity, lower the skills barrier, and accelerate innovation.”
In addition, Appery also announced new capabilities which simplify the user login process and test mobile apps on devices. These include Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and social network identity support as well as on-device app sharing without app stores.
By allowing developers to add LDAP and social network identities for user authentication, end users now can sign in using their existing Facebook, Google or Twitter account or go through a secure LDAP enterprise directory. This means users get to multiply apps with a single sign-in.
Appery.io’s on-device app sharing means that developers can easily share apps with anyone without the need to submit a test version to a store. This simplifies and speeds up the process of how developers demo their apps to users. Appery.io Tester App members can enter a code provided by the developers and run an app to provide feedback.
The enhancements follow Appery.io’s recent partnership with Ionic, that enables developers to build hybrid mobile apps to provide the same user experience of native apps. Max Lynch, CEO, Ionic, wrote:
“Appery has integrated Ionic into its Appery.io platform to give developers access to a powerful way to create native user experiences with HTML5 technologies. When strong companies like Appery support the web stack, we all win.”
