$1.5m funding for Mirage Interactive’s VR game push

Mirage Interactive has added $1.5m to its business, after closing a new funding round led by SongHe Capital and Wistone. The investment will be used to continue the firm’s push into VR game development, having just launched its first VR game, Heroes of the Seven Seas, which is available on the three major VR platforms — Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Samsung’s Gear VR.

Ke Wang, Mirage Interactive’s CEO, said:

“Advanced technologies and sophisticated VR gaming devices are enabling an entirely new dimension of immersive gameplay experience. We’re passionate about helping to drive the innovations taking place in this emerging segment, which is projected to be an $80 billion market by 2025.”

Based on Beijing, Mirage Interactive wants to work on more original VR games.
